DJ Dozier
DJ is a former NCAA Football Champion (Penn State, Heisman Trophy Candidate, 1st Team Collegiate All American). He was an NFL 1st round running back (Minnesota Vikings/ Detroit Lions); and MLB outfielder (New York Mets) and is part of a select group of only 27 athletes to ever play in the NFL and MLB. He has 24 years of business development, marketing, and business strategy and serves as SIX’s Principal Consultant. He is an author (link to Decide to Dominate book here), former marketing director of a global sports brand, and has a B.S. in Commercial Recreation, Hospitality, & Tourism from Penn State University.


Michael Weatherly
Michael is a former collegiate athlete playing baseball at Virginia Wesleyan University and is the Founder and Chief Tech Scout at SIX. He has three bachelor’s degrees, an MBA (IT) and a PhD (Business Management). He has 20+ years of sales, marketing and technology experience and is a serial entrepreneur and owner of multiple million-dollar businesses (e.g. C5BDI and Ecco Adesso). Michael believes wholeheartedly in giving back to the community and is an avid philanthropist through organizations like Vet First, Inc.
Haley O’Connor
Haley O’Connor is a former collegiate athlete playing Lacrosse at Old Dominion University, continuously evolving her passion for sports and health performance strategically aligned to Sports Management. Her forward leaning work ethos is a significant contribution to our dynamic work environment, helping to drive opportunities for our seasoned clients and sports customers up and down the international marketplace. Leveraging her Sports Management background, Haley serves as a bridge between innovative technology companies and professional and collegiate athletes and sports teams. At SIX, she provides first hand trusted relationships with university and professional sports organizations and athletes to support our team and serves as a trusted advisor and tech scout for all things sports related.


James Mershon
James Mershon leverages 34+ years of athletic, academic, and C-Suite business intelligence having driven $1.81 billion in awarded ceiling since 2017 for 200+ clients supporting 500+ customers, inclusive of Human Performance Optimization, U.S. Government, and AgriBusiness verticals, all in support of his Partnerships Expert role here at Sports Innovation Xcelerator (SIX). As a tactical athlete veteran leader with the U.S. Navy, Mr. Mershon contributes a forward leaning work ethos and perspective to our global sports market. His prolific business development, marketing, and sales competencies, coupled with his depth of business acumen aligned to Name, Image, Likeness (NIL), venture capital, partnership, and opportunity development directly accelerates return on investment (ROI) throughout, bridging gaps that propel year-over-year product/service reach, long-term client relationship, lucrative annual revenue glideslopes, and optimal customer satisfaction.
Jolene Ulichney
A former Division I field hockey student-athlete at Old Dominion University, Ms.Ulichney brings a unique perspective and a strong work ethic to her role as a Global Tech Scout. Leveraging her firsthand experience in high-performance sports, she collaborates closely with her team to identify and integrate cutting-edge technological solutions that enhance athletic performance and team operations. By deeply understanding the evolving needs and capability gaps of teams and players, she plays a critical role in sourcing and implementing innovative solutions that address key challenges in the sports industry. Her expertise ensures that deliverables align with the dynamic demands of modern sports, driving efficiency, performance optimization, and strategic growth.
