Gary Lavelle, a MLB veteran, notably with the San Francisco Giants, also played for the Blue Jays and Oakland Athletics. With a career-high 13 wins in 1978 and 136 saves in 13 seasons, he earned All-Star honors in 1977 and 1983. As of 2023, Lavelle ranks 70th in all-time MLB games finished. Currently residing in Virginia Beach, he coaches at Bryant & Stratton College and achieved coaching success at Greenbrier Christian Academy.
